27 October 2021 is a national holiday in Bhutan to observe the very holy day- Lhabab Duechen or the Descending Day of Lord Buddha. It is celebrated on the 22nd day of the 9th Lunar month of the Bhutanese calendar.
The day marks the return of Lord Buddha to earth from the heavenly realm after three months of teaching.
