11 October, Thimphu: The Department of Forests and Park Services received 15 motorcycles, worth Nu. 400,000 each from Rally of Rangers, a program of the Mongol Ecology Center, a non- profit organization. The Rally of Ranger’s sole mission is to protect the world’s special places by empowering rangers around the world with new motorcycles and equipment.
Since its launch in 2014, the NGO delivered over 150 motorcycles to parks around Mongolia, Patagonia, Nepal and Peru.
The event was graced by the Hon’ble Minister Yeshey Penjor, Ministry of Agriculture and Forests, Mr. Lobzang Dorji, Director, Department of Forest and Park Services, Forest Rangers and other officials from the Ministry.
