𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟓, 𝟐024: The Bhutan Agri-food Trade and Investment Forum (BATIF) 2024 commenced at Thimphu, marking a significant milestone in the nation’s agri-food landscape. Hon’ble Prime Minister graced the opening of the event. The National Assembly Speaker, the Minister for Agriculture and Livestock, the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Employment, Ambassadors of India, Bangladesh, and Kuwait Commerce, and the Head of International agencies attended the session. More than 230 participants from international and local representing different international agencies and private companies attended the forum.
The Prime Minister highlighted Bhutan’s agricultural potential and diversity and expressed his hope for the forum to foster successful collaborations and investments in Bhutan’s agri-food sector. HPM also assured the government’s full support to make the investment very attractive and efficient
The Agriculture Minister and Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Employment highlighted and presented the status of their ministry’s plans and informed on the government’s initiatives to make investment very friendly and assuring for all.
