The Samdrup Jongkhar Dzongkhag Administration have initiated the SAMJONG branding for local products including the agricultural, livestock and CSI products. Their office is registered at the Farmers’ Sales Outlet at the Integrated Vegetable Market, which the Honourable
Minister for Agriculture and Livestock inaugurated on 17 th December.
Today, they have brought forward the product catalogue of SAMJONG branded products. It is an inspiring and a praiseworthy initiative that the Dzongkhag have undertaken to enhance local economy and empower our rural entrepreneurs and farmers. As shared by the Dzongdag, the brand gives meaning and recognition to the efforts of the entrepreneurs and especially the farmers of this Dzongkhag who produces all these products.
Products like the Bio degradable plates and Turmeric powder from Langchenphu, Ginger Tea from Gomdar, Rajma beans from Wangphu, Banana chips from Phuntshothang, Tapioca bites and Khamtey rice from Pemathang have already started to sell at the retail shops in
Thimphu and around the country.
