12 March 2025: The Hon’ble Lyonpo met with Dr. Thomas Ricardo, Practice Manager for Agriculture and Food Global Practice, South Asia and other officials from the World Bank on 12th March 2025. Dr. Rosada has recently taken up the new portfolio as the Practice Manager of South Asia in the Organization.
Lyonpo congratulated Dr. Rosada on his new role overseeing South Asia and conveyed optimism for deeper collaboration under his leadership. The two sides also discussed the upcoming World Bank funded USD 30 Million project ‘Accelerate Bhutan’s Job Transformation through Renewable Natural Resource Value Chains’ to be implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and the Ministry of Health. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to fast-tracking the project’s finalization and approval processes to expedite implementation.
