The Department of Agricultural Marketing and Cooperatives is pleased to invite proposals from registered and active Farmer Groups and Co-operatives to apply for grant of Value Addition Equipment (VAE) under the Co-operative Business Development Scheme (C-BuDS).
C-BuDS is a competitive cost-sharing scheme, wherein the government will contribute 70 per cent (with a ceiling of Nu.1.0 m per grant) of the total cost of equipment; that are crucial to diversify, expand or enhance the efficiency of the business.
VAE includes only food processing and packaging equipment and does not include supplies, consumables and packaging materials. Only those Farmer Groups and Co-operatives who have not availed similar government support through various projects in the last three years are eligible to apply.
