28 August, 2023: The Hon’ble Sanam Lyonpo embarked on a two-day tour, spanning from August 24-25, 2023, to the remote Dungkhag of Sombekha in Haa Dzongkhag. Hon’ble Sanam Lyopno visited the two Chiwog of Sangbay Ama, and Nakha Trashigang Chiwog under the Sangbay Gewog. During this insightful journey, His Excellency engaged with local communities, specifically focusing progress in the Sangbay Gewog.
At the two Chiwogs of Sangbay Gewog, H.E met with farmers and discussed on various issues and problem faced by public like farm renovation, Marketing of products, Chain-link fencing/ Electric fencing, Land management & Development, Farm machinery, Improvement of RNR productions, Improvement of supply of seed and seedling for both vegetables & fruits / High value cash crops with high products etc. Additionally, H.E addressed on other issues faced by the farmers like human-wildlife conflict, drinking water shortage, land related issue among others.
The communities of Nakha-Trashigang Chiwog also requested for the maintenance of farm road form Gewog Center to Chiwog as well as advancements in the availability of clean drinking water. Responding to these requests, Lyonpo advised a submission of proposal for the yearly budget through Local Government.
Accompanying His Excellency were esteemed individuals including Dasho Dzongdag, Dzongkhag Agriculture Officer, officiating Dungpa, Sombaykha Dungkhag and Local Government leader of two Gewog Sangbay Ama and Gakiling. Their presence represented the collective dedication towards addressing local concerns and fostering comprehensive growth.
