𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒: Hon’ble Sonam Lyonpo inaugurated the Potato Trade Facilitation Center at Jangchey, Gangtey Gewog, Wangdue Phodrang Dzongkhag.
This event signifies a major advancement to support farmers in the region. For the first time, the Ministry of Agriculture & Livestock (MoAL) and Food Corporation of Bhutan Limited (FCBL) have established this facility at the source, enhancing the potato value chain and bringing convenience and benefits to the farmers.
This facility includes warehouses with “Potato grading, washing, drying, sorting, and packaging machines, and an online trading (auction) service”.
The inauguration is attended by the Hon’ble Members of Parliament, Dasho Dzongda, UNDP Resident Representative, Local Leaders, and the people of Phobjikha.
