January 3rd, 2025,Zhemgang: The Honorable Dasho Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, and Mr. Mohammad Younus, Resident Representative of the UNDP-Bhutan Country Office, inaugurated the Buelsa Integrated Cold Store in Zhemgang, a capacity of 180 Metric Tonnes. The infrastructure is a collaborative initiative between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Food Corporation of Bhutan Limited, supported by the GEF-LDCF, UNDP, and the Royal Government of Bhutan. The structure is set to enhance the livelihoods of the community and boost the local economy. Additionally, the structure aims to reduce the post-harvest losses.
