The National Soil Services Centre (NSSC) under the Department of Agriculture (DoA) extends an invitation for Project Proposals from interested individuals, entrepreneurs and other business entities to set up a small scale organic fertilizer production plant in the Eastern region of Bhutan. The plant is required to have an investment size of Nu. 1-10 million and should be established within the current FY 2021-22. The government will provide a contribution of 40% of the total costs of tools/equipment (with a ceiling of Nu. 2.0 million per grant) as per the existing cost sharing mechanism of the Ministry.
Organic fertilizers would include vermin compost, chicken manure compost, bio-slurry compost, kitchen waste compost and other natural biomass based composts that are produced at the NSSC compost standard. The best business plan will be selected to meet the requirement.
Proponents are requested to submit the following:
- Detailed project proposals with a business plan along with the technical drawings of compost plant
- Associated machinery and equipment required
- Proof of land available for the plant
- Any prior experience or associated skill
- CID/Business license
