16 Mach 2025: On the sideline of Bhutan Conference: Climate and Resilient Agriculture for
Sustainable Development – Policy, Investment, and Innovation organized by College of
Natural Resources (CNR), Hon’ble Sonam Lyonpo and agriculture officials meet with the
Director General and Official from International Potato Center (CIP) on 16th March 2025.
The ministry informed the importance of potatoes and its roles to enhance income of farmers besides contribution to the overall economy. Based on this, the following were discussed.

– MoU and its urgent need to implement the collaboration
– Seed replacement and Seed sourcing
– Capacity building for the technical staff and farmers
– Networking and connection on seed producers both government and private
