30 May – 3 June, Thimphu: The five days training program on “Green and Climate Smart Technology Business Development” began today. The participants comprised of diverse background including Economic Development Officers, Gewog Extension Officers, farmers and the youths of class 12 and university graduates from around the country.
The training is aimed at creating awareness on Green and Climate Smart Technologies (CST), explore opportunities on Green and CST business, learn and identify challenges in green and CST development in the RNR sector.
The five days training will cover introduction to context setting of green and climate smart business, business plan development and investment, business opportunities and analysis, financial management and field visits with series of guest lectures on green business and climate smart technologies.
The training is one of the activities of the EU-Technical Assistance Complimentary Support Project implemented by the Policy and Planning Division under Ministry of Agriculture and Forests. The project supports long and short term international and local technical assistance to the Royal Government of Bhutan through DAI, Brussels with local partner institutions BPV to contribute to national development objectives.
